Even simpeler leven bij Gill and Jo

Ontdek Sunninglye farm in Kent, Tunbridge Wells. Tussen de heuvels van de High Weald vind je deze boerderij Sunninglye Farm. De familie Miles woont hier samen met hun boerderijdieren. Jo en Jill brengen je naar je tenthuisje, deze staat in het bos op de heuveltop met uitzicht over de omliggende velden en bossen.

Bezoek de bekende spa en winkelstad Royal Tunbridge Wells. Bekijk de historische huizen en tuinen in Penshurst Place en Sissinghurst. Tijd voor actie? Go Ape Bedgebury Forest ligt op slechts 16 km afstand en nog dichterbij is Clue Cracker, een escape room. Ook het Kingdom café is een bezoek waard, je kunt hier heerlijke lokale gerechten eten en het ligt midden in het bos.

Dit doe je op de boerderij

Op de boerderij is genoeg te doen voor jong en oud! Dwaal door het bos of neem deel aan Sunninglye's farm trail challenge. Vaar in de oude boten, kajak, doe mee aan een vlotbouw activiteit, spot wildlife of verzorg een pony. Elk tenthuisje heeft zijn eigen kampvuurplaats met een barbecue waar je heerlijk kunt ontspannen na alle avonturen. Je zult hier geen honger lijden, want de boerderij heeft een goed gevulde winkel. Je kunt hier allerlei zelfgemaakte maaltijden bestellen. Na een lange dag stap jij lekker je in je comfy bed.

Our whole family had a wonderful time - the tent was a perfect first camping experience for our 1 year old and 3 year old, and made it much easier for us as parents. The setting couldn’t have been more beautiful and feeding the animals each morning and toasting marshmallows each evening will be treasured family memories for a long time

We had such a fabulous time at Sunninglye. Waking up and looking over the beautiful hills watching lambs skipping around and horses galloping in the fields and drinking tea by the campfire was a very special experience. Jo and gill were such warm and friendly hosts. They were so helpful and even delivered us a kit for making stew over the fire, plus wonderful food from the local butchers and bakery. The honesty shop was extremely well stocked and had everything we needed. Our two year old loved feeding the lambs, meeting the goats and pigs and sitting on the tractor! Collecting eggs was also a highlight. Being on a working farm and feeling connected to the countryside for a few days was priceless. The farm itself is beautiful with rolling hills and a woodland you can roam in alongside all the animals. Thank you so much, we will be back!

This was our second trip to Sunninglye. We spent most of our days either down at the lake on the boats and making rafts or walking around the farm enjoying watching all the lambs. The tent was fully equipped with comfortable beds and outside seating with incredible views. We had a bbq two nights and enjoyed the pizza making on the other. We shall definitely be back, thank you Gill for another fun and relaxing stay.

Amazing stay, my two boys loved the freedom to explore and adventure through the woods. We enjoyed feeding the animals each morning and learning about their time at the farm along with some interesting facts. The pond was a hit, going out on the boats, feeding the carp and fishing for crayfish (after some patience we caught one!). All in all, a great stay back in nature.

This was just the break we needed! The view from our tent/canvas lodge was spectacular - I wish we had stayed longer as I could have spent hours just on our veranda or hanging in the hammock, soaking it in. We had such fun feeding the animals, searching for eggs, raft building and kayaking around the pond, and making pizzas for the outdoor oven. Our kids ranged about with other people's kids, taking marshmallows to toast on neighbours' camp fires etc. It really was idyllic and I wish I was back there now!

We hebben het ontzettend naar ons zin gehad op de boerderij. De tenten stonden ver genoeg uit elkaar voor privacy maar dichtbij genoeg voor onze kinderen om vriendjes te maken. Ook heel fijn dat het deel met tenten geheel omheind is: jongere kinderen kunnen daardoor niet weg. Het uitzicht vanaf de tent was prachtig en rondom de boerderij was veel leuks te doen. Echt een aanrader.

The most perfect holiday in the most idyllic surroundings. Our stay was made so easy and pleasant by the attention from Gill and Jo. Our grandchildren absolutely loved the interaction with the many animals and the daily feeding of the lambs. The day we spent down by the lake raft building, kayaking and attempting to catch crayfish was a particular highlight. The honesty shop was well stocked with local products and the bread delivery much appreciated.

Been there before, 5 years ago. The kids had just as much fun as last time. Feeding the lambs, goats and pigs. My lad liked the horse and donkey. Outside shower was novel. The little pond a bit of a walk. Plenty of crayfish to catch. Remember to pack wellies or boots, or you'll ruin your white trainers 🤣. Will defo be back.

Jullie tent staat op je te wachten in Rocky Field, de uitkijkplaats voor het spotten van dassen, vossen en herten.

De pizza avonden op de boerderij zijn de beste. Iedereen komt samen om te vertellen over hun avonturen van de laatste dagen en er worden pizza toppings gecreëerd die je in de meeste pizzeria's niet zult vinden.

Gecombineerde Brunch en Vlot Bouwen

Écht leuk!

Buiten brunchen bij onze vijver. De brunch omvat worstjes, spek, eieren, champignons, tomaten, baked beans, verse broodjes, boter, marmelade, sinaasappelsap, thee en koffie. Alle benodigdheden en hout zijn inbegrepen. Na afloop kunt u alles in de container achterlaten, en wij halen het op!

Het vlotbouwen bevat voldoende materialen om een vlot te maken, inclusief peddels en reddingsvesten. De prijs geldt per gezin.
